Q. I just started taking the pill and my skin has been a mess. Should I switch brands, or do you think that it will all even out soon?
A. It takes at least three months for the hormones in the pill to stabilize. During this time your skin needs to adjust to the influence of these hormones. You should check with your gynecologist for an acne-preventing birth control pill if the condition persists.
